Our Story
From Four Bedrooms to a Family of Rooms
Lotlametswe B&B began operating in April 2006 with just four bedrooms. As the business grew, the property's garage was converted into two further rooms to welcome more guests.
Between 2007 and 2008, a conference hall and four additional rooms were developed with the assistance of a grant from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) — a milestone that allowed the property to begin hosting meetings and small events alongside overnight guests.
From 2009, further rooms were added, including what would later become a laundry room, along with a traditional lapa area for outdoor gathering.

Growing with Our Guests
Purpose-Built Spaces for Every Occasion
In mid-2013, the original conference hall was converted into three additional guest rooms, reflecting the growing demand for accommodation. In its place, a newer hall was later built — complete with its own kitchen and restrooms — able to accommodate approximately 40 to 60 guests depending on the seating arrangement.
A swimming pool was added for guests to relax and unwind, and the property introduced a solar energy system with the support of the IDC Green Tourism Programme. The business profile states that approximately 70% of the property is now powered by solar energy — one of a number of establishments in the area to have benefited from this initiative.
